Default Vote on the Classics

We have reset the votes on the Classics pages. Stop back in to vote on your favorites from 1954 through 1995. Only one vote per kit, but vote for all the ones you would like to see again.

Your feedback has been very much appreciated in the past. We know which ones we like, but we want to get an updated count from you.

We have also added a column for the designers. If you know the original designer for a kit, please email us so we can get the pages updated.

Carl,

I noticed you were looking for help for the Estes Clipper, 1979. The instructions and scans can be found here......

Geeee....strange thing......I'm looking at the classic list and Estes has kit #1904 listed as a Maverick (and the plans header card does say 1904) and I've got a kit #1904 sitting beside me here at the computer and it's labeled V-2. Anyone have any ideas of what happened?

They have reused numbers in the past.

Many part numbers were recycled. What is the date on the V-2?

Carl,

There is (2/00) in front of the part number so I'm guessing that means 2000....

Since I cut off the "Classics"" arbitrarily at 1995, it does not appear in this list. I will revist that at some point.

I wouldn't worry about it. I just thought it was strange to see one part number for two different kits, especially considering the V-2 (or I guess Maxi V-2 in this case) isn't a relatively new kit. Seems they would give it the same part number as the older kit......
