Default Estes D.O.M. project

I walked around the shop this past weekend and gathered parts for the Estes D.O.M. Intruder. Back in 2001, I upscaled the fin pattern to BT-55 to give me a reason to use the Estes Greyhawk cockpit nose cone that I'd picked up in a Designer's Special. My Marauder is an upscaled Intruder without the chevron-shaped fin tips, which I replaced with scrap tubes. I always wanted to build the Intruder, mostly to see what it looked like when built as intended. Wow, this thing is going to be tiny. BT-20 based and mini-engine powered, it's definitely going to be a B6-4 Field bird. Too tiny to fly elsewhere. I still have to find a motor mount, but I should have construction finished tonight.

I'm looking forward to the flight. Size-wise, it's about the same as the MRM Moonraker that I built last year around this time. Really close to fire-and-forget size.

Like I said, tiny. It gets primed today, then I’m hoping for a flight window later in the week.
