Default North Coast Rocketry F-117 Nighthawk unboxing video

A review copy of the eagerly awaited F-117 Nighthawk from North Coast Rocketry hit the workbench a couple of days ago, and I've had the opportunity to put together a comprehensive unboxing video:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DiiQJnUMz6Q

According to Matt Steele the kit will go on sale July 15.

Enjoy,
James

Great unboxing video James. The NCR F-117 Nighthawk looks to be a very well thought out kit. That’s a lot of laser cut parts on that plywood sheet!

Better move quickly. Matt sent a photo yesterday of sold kit boxes to be shipped, and it looked like a freaking Tycho Monolith.

Thanks, James,

I just got around to watching your vido on the new F-117 glider. Thanks to your good explanation of what's in the kit and a good explanation on the parts and how they go togetter I decided to put my name on a wish list to receive one. I feel this will be one of those take your time projects.

I hope to see a lot of build threads and construction vidos for this kit.

James are you going to do more vidos on the build of this kit?

Thanks again.

Thanks for watching the video! All kudos should go to Matt and Dave for bringing such a remarkable kit to market.

After I've had an opportunity to think about it, I will probably be doing at least two additional videos with this kit. The first will be a tutorial on how to cut the vacuform plastic shell without wanting to shoot up and die in a gutter. The second will be a finishing video. This may depart significantly from the kit scheme as I am very intrigued by a three-color camo scheme I found in the winter 1994 edition of World Air Power Journal. (That may change if Matt guilts me into doing the basic black scheme, though.)

Look for the vacuform video in a few weeks and the finishing video in a few months. Or, I may just change my mind and do a full construction and finishing series. Either way, stay tuned.

James
