Default Vintage Estes Space Plane restoration

I acquired this old plane on eBay for a decent offer and I am going to finish for flight. I know I am going to apply a thin coat of balsa sealer to smooth it out a bit but trying to decide if I want to paint, or just leave it as is. I found a picture online with an old one built with just the nose cone painted. I have some old flat Pactra dope I could use for red glider with black nose...….I will have think about this. I have the original kit still in the bag, and will someday build that one.
I plan on finishing this rocket before moving onto my next vintage build.

I painted my Semroc CC Space Plane with Pactra Aero Gloss Cub Yellow dope with a Stearman Red nose cone. The Cub Yellow was a Spray can of Aero Gloss and the nose was shot out of my airbrush.
It added next to zero weight with 4 coats of yellow and 3 coats of red.
Dope properly thinned and sprayed weighs FAR less than any enamels.

Yes, there is such a thing as NORMAL
, if you have to ask what is "NORMAL" , you probably aren't !

Failure may not be an OPTION, but it is ALWAYS a POSSIBILITY.
ALL systems are GO for MAYHEM, CHAOS, and HAVOC !

It is so light that if you inhale deeply while prepping and spraying, you will think you're floating.
