The simplest way to recover a rocket with multiple Estes F15 motors is to cluster them!

OK, here goes:

High in the sky was a lonely So Long,
Yodel-ay, yodel-ay, yodel-ay-ee-oo.

That’s all I’ve got—it’s a work in progress.

Too bad there are no core-burning 29mm BP motors. Estes may have tried/be trying but cannot get it to not impersonate FSI...

WHYYYYY could Coaster/Centuri make reliable core-burning F impulse BP engines back in the 60's/70's but it cannot be done now with modern automated manufacturing ????
C'mon noww.
Sounds like a bunch of Bovine Fecal Matter to me.....

Yes, there is such a thing as NORMAL
, if you have to ask what is "NORMAL" , you probably aren't !

Failure may not be an OPTION, but it is ALWAYS a POSSIBILITY.
ALL systems are GO for MAYHEM, CHAOS, TURMOIL, FIASCOS, and HAVOC !

Do we know this to be true about Coaster/Mini-Max motors?

Lee Piester told me that if a batch of Mini-Max motors failed during testing the whole lot was taken out to a place in the desert and buried.

There is now a housing complex on that 'burial' site.

I was never able to fly any Mini-Max motors back in the day (too young) and I have never tried to fly any I have in my collection. But, I have heard even they could be cato prone on occasion. But, I do not know to what degree.

Just look at the CATO rates on the old FSI E60 and F100 motors. I never had a F100 fail, but did suffer from a 60% failure rate on the E60's. Centuri MIni max core burners would not be surprising.

ANother problem with making them again would be the amount of hand labor you would have to do to drill out the core on each motor. THe seems to be the reason they don't make B14's any more.
