Perhaps this will create that new third Groonie - Redneck Rebel. Painted in (primer) gray with patches of bondo red...

Hunting rifles and fishing gear in the rear window rack...

Trailer hitch...

Strips of 200 MPH tape holding the access hatches down...

NASCAR stickers everywhere...

Tire-print do-nuts along the left side, long scrapes down the right...

Landing gear tires are wide Goodyear slicks, or balding tires of different sizes, one of which is the commonly-seen "get home" spare...

Pilot with no helmet and no shirt, but wearing a mullet and holding a can of something...

Little (faded) yellow ping-pong ball on top of the antenna...

Jumper cables dangling from under the trunk lid...

Hankerchief stuffed into the gas tank fueling tube and the little door partly open...

(Have I missed any stereotype images here?)

I'll build it, if you can get someone to make the decals!

Default OK... lets get this thread back on track...

... nothing like finishing a rocket while a storm is going thru your neighborhood...

Another Gee Hod rocket was finished this afternoon. The "Al-Qa'ida Commander" in charge of putting this one together did not agree that the RPG should be so far away from the pilot: it needed to be closer to the pilot in case of a misfire o needed to reload... so it was placed on top of a short wing stub and closer to the cockpit for easy access. Yes, they are crazy!!!

I just finished my Semroc Gee Hod. Building was pretty much straight up like any level one or two rocket. I laminated the fins with sticker paper and sealed the edges with thin CA; used wood glue, primed with the old Krylon white primer, and used Rustoleum Gloss Sand color for the rocket. I was planning on doing some camoflage but I wanted to finish this today.

I moved the "RPG" to the side, I think it looks better there, plus I got a vote of confidence from my wife that it looked better there also. I also painted the "RPG" closer to the colors of a real one. There are no pictures for the exact placement of most of the decals so "a little free licensing" was used on the decals. All it needs now is a coat of Future and it will be ready for tomorrow's flight in northern Maryland!!!
