By the way, Barry said here that it was "graphics" that was the problem. Not so, they wanted to move the wings of the the Stiletto back rather than add the proper nose weight. Their reason for not wanting to add the proper amount of nose weight was pretty flimsy, the builder might forget?

I did agree to the change (in writing), then they just dropped everything, didn't respond to my messages, calls and letter. Whatever...not very professional in my opinion.

I really like your designs and I saw Barry say that about stability margin and nose weight user error, and I actually agree with it. Mike elaborated the rockets coned a bit with the nose weight. Not so sure I see that the same way, but I got the impression Estes was willing to use your designs if they were convenient. They have a pretty overboard vetting process for kits that have killed some sweet designs.

I wouldn't take it personally.

The whole point of a kit is to waste motors.

Jerry

What about balsa?
I still say you should get some plans together and sell them with decals. I'd buy.

I for one sure am glad that a HOBBY company acquired Estes instead of the previous regime that ran it like a plastic toy company. Maybe we will get items real hobby rocket builders will want. Hopefully they will start producing single-use engines of flavors other than VANILLA also. I WANT MY B14's !!!!!!!!

Yes, there is such a thing as NORMAL
, if you have to ask what is "NORMAL" , you probably aren't !

Failure may not be an OPTION, but it is ALWAYS a POSSIBILITY.
ALL systems are GO for MAYHEM, CHAOS, and HAVOC !

Hey Doc,

Now that we're well into March, what's happening with Estes? Do you still have connections?

Any new information at all?

Randy
