Sorry to say, i have no connection with the "New" Estes presently.
I'm sure that Hobbico has alot planned for the future of Estes.

Check out the NARAM 52 site, that might tell you something

Estes is listed as a (pretty substantial) prize donor to NARCON 2010, too. That's a positive sign.

Estes is also contributing a special model to those who register early for NARAM-52.

The last time Estes donated items to any national NAR event (Other than NARAM trophies/awards) was NARAM-34 in 1992. It has been awhile and I'm glad to see Estes (The company) being more active.

That's great! I wasn't clear on the historical details, but I suspected that it had been awhile. It's nice to see the company returning to its hobby roots.

Hobbico/Great Planes/Tower Hobbies has supported many hobby events over the years.

Well, they brought back a print catalog for 2010. Does that count as a "happening?" Or is that old news?

Estes donated several kits to NSL-2007. They were used as promotional items for the local news services.

A new ERA is upon us, , a breathe of fresh air is bringing CHANGE, and I'm sure that hobbico will be doing their best to turn things around.

1. A new updated web site
2. Online store
3. The release of many new kits (many with balsa)
4. A print catalog
5. Paticpation with NAR activities (NARCON - NARAM52)
6. NARAM 52 Commerative rocket kit - FREE -details at http://www.peakcity.org
7. Display at NARAM 52

This has all happened in a short span of time (January 15,2010 )

So, fellow rocketeers, let's show our support to the "NEW" and improved Estes.

I see the entire rocket hobby industry providing many new products for rocketeers.

It's a good time to be a rocketeer.
