I look forward to starting. I'm anxiously awaiting the parts delivery. I cut the Sigma II fins out earlier in the week.

Bill, did you contact Randy Boadway at eRockets to see if he got the Sigma data from when he bought SEMROC? I would think that he only got SEMROC 2.0. Wouldn't hurt to ask.

Chas

No, that would make too much sense. I did think of it after my order had been processed.

Thank you. I'm happy with the result, but now I get to undertake the dreaded "paint scheme for a rocket that doesn't have a defined paint scheme". I was thinking about it last night and realized that my thoughts were drifting toward my tried and true orange/black/white theme. I should really write something down before I forget what I thought up.

Can't hardly go wrong with Orange/Black/White.
I like Red/Orange/Yellow or Green/Blue for those without defined schemes as well.

Yes, there is such a thing as NORMAL
, if you have to ask what is "NORMAL" , you probably aren't !

Failure may not be an OPTION, but it is ALWAYS a POSSIBILITY.
ALL systems are GO for MAYHEM, CHAOS, TURMOIL, FIASCOS, and HAVOC !

In the end, I went silver body, three red fins, one black and a black nose cone. Everything went well until this morning when I unmasked the fins. I had a little issue with the silver sticking in places, but the black fins on both the booster and sustainer lost almost all paint. I used Rustoleum Black Night Metallic, and I think that's where the problem lies. I've had it fail now on several rockets that required masking. Pretty sure I can salvage the Sigma II with a steady hand and a paint brush. I have the brush. Anyone know where to find a steady hand?

Looks great Bill! Great choice for a Semroc clone. Love multi stagers.

Can’t help with a steady hand but looking forward to seeing the finished rocket. Rustoleum Black Night Metallic is a great color but I have never tried to mask it. I do remember that it took a very long time to dry on the Lil’ Nuke that I painted all black but I laid it on pretty heavy and humidity here in LA is pretty brutal.
