Chin Chin! I wish I could also have one, but the meds are still preventing it. I have a nice bottle of 18 y/o Laphroaig waiting for me for when I can imbibe again.

This my Herculean knee today. It's 3 weeks since the operation.

I've never had the 18. You are going to have to give me a full report when you do. Take care Jeff.

I can report on it now because I've sipped many times in the past and it's quite memorable.

If you want a light, gentle, mild single malt then this is NOT what you want. If you've ever had the 10 y/o Laphroaig and you know how smokey and peaty THAT is, then I would triple the intensity. For some it's impossible to drink it neat, but I still do. There's a earthy--almost oiliness to it. It mixes with NOTHING--not even ice. You should have a neutral palette before you sip it or you probably won't like it.

It's one of my favorites.

I'll have to try the one you mention.

Thanks, that soulds great. I know all about this distillery. It is not for the faint of heart. I currently have 6 expressions in my collection. I will have to pick up a bottle of this one. Quarter Cask is my favorite expression.

Aaaaaaaaaaand now it's been 6 weeks + 1 day since my surgery and I finally get to see "inside".

My right knee and left knee are pictured. Can you tell which one was worked on? The tibial plateau is Ti with plastic meniscus disks, the epicondyles of the femur are stainless steel, and the back side of he patella is a cobalt disk. TSA is gonna love it!............................(not.)

The goal is 120 degrees+ inward bend. I?m at 118 with pain, 115 without.

Getting there!
