Default Centuri Fil-Cote

I see a lot of Centuri plans call for filling balsa with Centuri Fil-cote, did anyone ever use this stuff? Was it just re bottled Pactra Balsa Filler?

I think that was my first bottle of balsa filler I ever got. And yes, I believe it was what you said.

I remember reading that story. Funny ... hey, wait, that’s not a bad idea for a fundraiser for our club. “Special run of heirloom glue”

I am using a new Aliphatic glue from Titebond that dries fast and clear. I should sell small bottles and label it as special model rocket glue.

To the best of my knowledge, Centuri Fil-Cote was just bottles of Pactra Balsa Fillercoat, with their own private brand labels.
Conversely, Estes Astro Seal was just relabeled Pactra Sanding Sealer.

I still use BOTH for filling/sealing all rocket balsa parts.
Anywhere from 2-4 coats of Balsa Fillercoat depending on how tight the grain is with sanding on coats 2, 3, and 4. Follow that with 2 coats of Sanding Sealer with sanding of both coats.
