Default Memorial Day — Never Forget

Let us all never go a day that we do not remember and acknowledge that the life we live and the freedoms we enjoy today did not come free.

To the contrary; an unimaginably huge price has been paid by hundreds of thousands of our countrymen who have given the last full measure so that we may live the life we have. They died on beaches, they died in jungles, they died in fields, they died on ships, in subs, on aircraft, in tanks. And in many cases the location they fell is known but to them and God.

Enjoy our freedoms daily. That is what they gave their life for. But never forget WHY we have what we have.

God bless them and their families this day and every day.

Earl

Totally agree with you, Earl.
Freedom is far from FREE.

Earl, so well said.

At the opening of NSL, we were asked to participate in reciting the Pledge or Allegiance. I thought it was a nice way to kick off the event.

We drove the state highways instead of taking I-25, to enjoy the beautiful back roads from the northern part of Colorado, down to Alamosa. We passed an incredible display of large US flags fastened to fence posts along a huge farm. Well over a mile, and well over a hundred of flags. We were so in awe of this display we did not stop to photograph. We just kept driving enjoying this incredible tribute.

Every year, starting on Memorial Day, I re-watch "Band of Brothers".
