Anybody ever see or have one of these: Centuri Model Rocket Tool Kit XC-90? If so, do you have photos of the real thing that you can share please? Thanks.

No, not quite. Just been searching, like, forever! I certainly have all the Xacto tools that come in one, but not the official Centuri kit.

What I DO have is the Xacto ?model rocket tool kit? that Xacto started selling around 1971 or so. It is the functional equivalent of the Centuri set, and in a similar vinyl pouch. It is my belief that either Xacto copied Centuri?s idea on a model rocket toolkit idea, OR, Xacto actually produced and bundled Centuri?s tool kit for Centuri and made the Centuri product distinctive by having the Centuri logo printed on it.

For the Xacto version, see page 12 of the 1971 Xacto catalog (at bottom) posted right here on good ol? YORF. Link: https://www.rocketshoppe.com/info/X...-72_Catalog.pdf

In all my looking and searching, I have yet to find even an a photo (outside the catalog images) of an actual Centuri tool kit?anywhere! One would think that Centuri had to sell a decent number of those over the years, but they just do not ever seem to surface anywhere!

Earl

Hi Earl,
If you are able, would you mind sharing a few photos of the X-acto Model Rocket Tool kit 372 that you do have please? That seems to be the closest thing to the Centuri Model Rocket Tool kit that anyone has so far. I am also curious on the dimensions of the vinyl pouch if you can share that, too, please! Thank you!

Kind regards,
Jeff Jenkins

Sorry, kind of in the same boat as the Sky-Trak; not currently easily accessible. But, it looked just like the Xacto catalog photo (ref my first post). A couple of the tools in the Xacto kit are a bit different than the Centuri kit, but they are largely the same kit. The Centuri kit as the 2 inch wide sanding block, the Xacto set has metal sander. It also has a set of tweezers and a needle file (Centuri does not), but the Centuri tool kit has a metal ruler.

Ok. I understand. Well, perhaps someday maybe, when you have better access, if you get an opportunity. Thanks!

I am investigating an additional lead. Perhaps something will turn up! Will let y'all know if it does!
