Default Hurricane Dorian

Since we, JonRocket.com, are in the potential path of Hurricane Dorian, we have temporarily closed our eBay store and posted a notice on JonRocket.com stating that processing of orders will take longer than normal.

At this time, it appears that Dorian may affect almost the entire Florida peninsula and, later, possibly other areas of the country. We are preparing for the worse. But, we are hoping for the best, not just for us, but for everyone facing this storm. Be safe.

Fortunately, Dorian passed by us and produced only a little rain and wind where we are located. So, we will undo some of the hurricane preparations we did so that we can restart shipping orders this weekend.

That's good to know. I have a friend in Charleston and am keeping my fingers crossed for her.

Yes, they are getting hammered right now.
I have a beachfront home at Pawleys Island, SC (live in Columbia), so I'm watching intently. The home is situated behind the main dunes, and our neighbors on the north side built their house nearly on the dunes, so they effectively shield my house from the brunt of the NE and North winds. West winds are of little consequence. I just hope the meat of the storm doesn't hit us at high tide...it'll be close, though. Dunes are holding/have held so far.

We have listed some kits and other rocketry items on eBay as auctions with a significant portion of the proceeds going to an organization that is providing relief to those affected by the hurricane.

All of the auctions are starting with a minimum bid of 99 cents so this is a chance to get a good deal while helping a good cause.
