Good stuff. Manufacture and testing of satellites included.
VANGUARD SATELLITE - 'Science in Space' https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IFTsGvRPBFY Learned about this: Operation Moonwatch https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Operation_Moonwatch Operation Moonwatch (also known as Project Moonwatch and, more simply, as Moonwatch) was an amateur science program formally initiated by the Smithsonian Astrophysical Observatory (SAO) in 1956. The SAO organized Moonwatch as part of the International Geophysical Year (IGY) which was probably the largest single scientific undertaking in history. Its initial goal was to enlist the aid of amateur astronomers and other citizens who would help professional scientists spot the first artificial satellites. Until professionally staffed optical tracking stations came on-line in 1958, this network of amateur scientists and other interested citizens played a critical role in providing crucial information regarding the world's first satellites.

Statistically, we got a better chance of being bitten by a shark." Then I showed her the scar on my elbow from a shark attack. I said, "I got this when my plane went down off of Florida." - Dennis Regan |

Slightly sloppy. Shows Beagle crash site image when referring to the Mars Polar Lander. Otherwise very good.
Mars Near Catastrophe Serious injury or loss of life threaten technicians working on the Mars Exploration Rover when a test procedure goes horribly wrong. As the clock ticks toward the critical Mars launch window, NASA scrambles to understand and fix this critical space mistake. If they can't, the launch window closes and the mission will be delayed for two years. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gvzQ0aY3IWE
