The Nose Cone on the right might be an open ended adapter.
The vertical indent lines (all spaced at 120 degrees)
could have been used for fin placement on a different design.

As they came with the identical nose cone "Cap" as the original, I dont think they were adapters per se, just a newer rendition of the orginal capsule, maybe after redoing the molds, if they had degraded from the original. Attached are pictures of the original parts in the kit, and then the new capsule, in the bag.
