Default Estes Mark II

Someone asked for updates on the Mark II that I'm building so here you go.

The kit is one that had previously been wet. The red streamer stained the body tube and nose cone. It also developed some mold and the decals were destroyed as well.

Here it is. It was primed, base coated, and then painted. No problems with the tape pulling up paint this time. I found some much better masking tape at Hobby Lobby.

Almost finished now.

I would consider it to be more of a build of a damaged kit.

I applied some decals that I drew up and printed tonight. One of the nice things about printing your own decals is that you can make extras if you want. This rocket has Estes logos and Mark logos on all sides...

I cloned the Mark back in 2001 using decals that JimZ threw in with the Estes Condor and Andromeda decals I bought.

Very nice!

I cloned my Mark in 2009.
It doesn't look half as good as yours!

My Mark II came to an unfortunate end a couple of weeks ago. It fell victim to an old Quest A6-4.

Them's the breaks..
