Default 1/8", 750# Braided Tubular Kevlar. 10 Cents per foot.

Hi All,

Brand new 1/8", 750# Braided Tubular Kevlar, 10 cents per foot with $3.00 shipping up to 200'. Over 200' will be $5.00 shipping via Priority mail. I have about 4,500' available, or you can purchase a whole roll which is 1000 yards (3000') for $290 shipped.

As you can see by my post count, I don't post much here. I read more than post, but I am also on the rocketry forum and rocketry planet (as fuddrucker) and post more there. Just telling you this because I know how it is to see someone selling something that is not very well known. I am also on ebay as fuddrucker if you want to check my feedback there. Thought I would post this for sale here as well for those not on the rockertry forum.

PM me if interested. Payment via PayPal.

Thanks!

...Fudd

Ok, I'll show my noviceness here...

What size model rocket would use this type of kevlar? Most of the ones I build use
something that looks more like thread. But one of my rockets, the Merlin Missiles
"Sword" (a *great* kit btw) had a very fine kevlar thread that parted on its second launch.
I'm thinking something stronger is in need for this particular model. Is this stuff used
in high power?

Yes, it is used in high power. It is best suited for rockets in the 2" to 4" range that don't weigh more than about 4-5 pounds. It would work well for most Aerotech sized kits and great on Estes rockets with a 2.5" dia. tube like the mega mosquito, Big Daddy etc.

The nice thing about it is that it won't burn through like elastic or tubular nylon.

Absolutely 100% correct.

Great for TARC rockets as the anchor for the elastic shock cord.
