Default Moon-Mutt Missing Materials

I bought a Moon-Mutt kit on a whim while at Walmart. It is missing all the launch pad plastic pieces, but did have the wooden dowels, blast deflector, and launch rod. It was sealed with tape, like all the other boxed kits at Walmart, so I assume it came from factory that way.

There was a note inside saying the yellow pieces that were supposed to be on each end of the dowels (footpad, and mounting tab attaching to central hub) were not preattached. Apparently not pre-inserted in box, either, along with the other plastic parts.

I'll contact Estes, but if you bought one, and it is still sealed, you may want to open it up ...

Interesting.....

Mine was/is all there. All I've used is the rocket itself (flies quite nicely, actually) so far. I did assemble the pad to see how it went together.

Your box wasn't re-sealed perchance....?

I wondered, but looked at the tape, and it looked factory-sealed like the other end of the box. But I do tend to have a knack for picking up the one box of anything that has an issue like a missing part.
