My first car was a 1976 Thunderbird with a snarlin' 7.5L 460 V8 with a big cam, high compression 429CJ big pott/valve heads that were competition ported/decked, high-rise Edelbrock intake, big 800 Holley, Dual exhaust, and. Traction-lok 9" rear axle. Braking/ hanfling were lousy but was fast in a straight line. Top speed a bit over 160. Got a healthy 10mpg running 95+ octane fuel. Compression was 11/1 and needed about 25% Blue AV100LL or Green AV100/130 mixed with 75% 93 pump premium. It would run on 93 alone but had to have 8° of initial timing reduced and lost a lot of throttle response.

The first Olds 442s had a dismal Olds 330 engine. The big-block Chevelles, GTOs, and GS Buicks left those turds in the dust.

Yes, there is such a thing as NORMAL
, if you have to ask what is "NORMAL" , you probably aren't !

Failure may not be an OPTION, but it is ALWAYS a POSSIBILITY.
ALL systems are GO for MAYHEM, CHAOS, and HAVOC !

A friend of ours back in the early 80's had a 330 that he was building for an as yet procured car. Never understood the attraction.

Building an Olds 330 makes about as much sense as building a Chevy 262/267/305/307, Ford 390, Chrysler 318, Pontiac 301, or Buick 300.
NONE AT ALL. Good for anchoring a boat JUNK-MOTORS.
