Mission Control should be at Cape Canaveral in FLORIDA.
It being in Houston or anywhere in Texas is nonsense.

Yep, you can “thank” LBJ for that decision.

I'm watching a good show on Apollo right now. It's "Apollo: Missions to the Moon" from the National Geographic channel. Lots of film that I hadn't seen before.
One short segment really impressed me. It showed someone working on the engines of the Saturn V as the rocket was on its side. The man stood between the nozzles which made the size of the rocket very apparent. I also got a kick out of seeing a 1960s NASA tour bus. Oh, yeah … and the Apollo 7 crew in a Bob Hope TV show was fun to watch. |
