Default NARCON New Products Estes

In this thread I will post new products showcased by Estes own John Boren.

First up is a 18mm to 13 mm Adapter. Allowing you to easily downsize the motor in your rocket.

Made of very hard ABS plastic.

Simply split into two pieces ,place mini motor inside the casing and place second half on top of the other half and insert into standard bt20 motor tube.

You know, I carried a camera in my pocket all weekend and I didn't think to snap some shots of Jon's new goodies.

Thanks for thinking to do this!

(Looks at NARCON schedule.)

Hah! I've been calling him Jon, and you've been calling him Bowen.

I just checked the schedule and it's John Boren.

Any word on the status of A8-0 and A10-0T motors?

Somebody flew an A10-0T at our club launch on Saturday and nobody thought anything of it. We all just assumed they had been recertified already. I just checked the NAR site and it was not on the certified motor list (not updated since Oct 2010.)

Did I say I hate the OOP motor rule?

Tube Cutters

Sizes from BT5, 20,50 55, and 60

This is a slick tool .
Mark tube to be cut, Insert BT into part one of the Tube cutter, slip part two onto BT slid both half of cutter down to marked line and snap the two half's together this will lock the cutter to the tube . Then grab your hobby knife, rotate tube with knife placed against the guide. The design makes it a lot harder to cut yourself if you slip.

After my second try I had a perfectly cut tube

Interesting...anything to support the inside of the tube while cutting? Or was the pressure applied from outside sufficient?

Interesting, yet limiting that it only works with a few standard tube sizes.

Not much info on the A10-0's Estes kits using this motor will be out before the motors . I'll let John post any updates here.

I see no need for support inside the tube the design works great but I would use a new sharp blade.

I hope Estes will decide to make one for a Bt80 tube.
