Sounds like just the opportunity for our favorite mad scientist Ghrocketman. he has got great engineering skills and definitely knows how to put a model rocket in orbit. and think of all the extra money that Estes would make when we have to replace all of the rockets that we never could recover or that were shredded to pieces with a super hi-thrust take off. COOL

Interesting ... “Black powder and composite rocket motor experience is desired”.

I like the sound of that.

Unfortunately I don't have "rocket motor design experience" they are looking for with either BP or APCP. Tinkering with them yes, but my engineering experience is in Automotive Electronics only.
Sounds fun but most likely they would not be prepared for the compensation a 20+ year Automotive engineer expects for salary, variable compensation, and benefits.
A posting like that one could be good news for future BP SU offerings though. Sounds like they are serious.

Yes, there is such a thing as NORMAL
, if you have to ask what is "NORMAL" , you probably aren't !

Failure may not be an OPTION, but it is ALWAYS a POSSIBILITY.
ALL systems are GO for MAYHEM, CHAOS, and HAVOC !

Might be a good opportunity as part-time job for an old guy who does not want to retire completely just yet......

You don't need new rocket motor engineers if you just plan to do the same thing you've been doing for years.

This is really exciting!

Yes, it sounds exciting, assuming it's for the hobby market and not to venture into the professional side. Here's hoping for a B14 or B8.

We made some 22mm full F motors back in the late 90's. It had tiny little bates grains. I don't remember the designation, but it had less than a second burn time, closer to 1/2 a second. It was a real sledgehammer in a tiny package!
