I remember hearing that same story.
Centuri was not yet "allowed" to offer their "Magnum-D" branded version of the Estes D12, which is what they should have had in the first place. Only 5 years prior, kits that size would have had Enerjet mounts for the E24, F52, and F67. A C5-3 seems just a bit wimpy.

Very nice!
I built this one back in 2013. IIRC I used Squadron Green to fill the spin nozzle cavities of the HoJo PNC. I've always loved the launch lug placement on this model.
