2 miles to my closest Target.
15 miles to my LHS and closest Hobby Lobby also, and I live in a SMALL (under 10,000 pop.) town.

Failure may not be an OPTION, but it is ALWAYS a POSSIBILITY.

With the traffic around here and depending on the time of day, that's about a two hour drive around here !
It wouldn't be so frustrating if there weren't seven closer Target stores - none of which stock the Astrocam...

ouch - that sort of traffic we don't want.... as far as I'm oncerned Binghamton traffic is bad enough, no city drives if I can avoid em, lol.
we're just rural enough to be out in the country, but not so far we have to drive hours to get groceries.... just wish places like both local LHS had not closed up

Kinda like driving in Chicago, which I avoid like the plague....

It's about 6 miles to the nearest Target in Shorewood, but I don't go in there because of the idiot face diaper rules they enforce. If a place tells me to put one on, I loudly tell them I will leave and never darken their doorway again. All the places here and in Morris don't enforce those stupid rules.

AC Supply is finally shipping the new ‘video’ Astrocam. Been ‘coming soon’ for a long time. Got one on the way, along with another Skylab Saturn V and Saturn 1b (I got only one of each of those two on my previous order).

I admire your restraint on ordering Saturn kits.

Actually, I have not ordered either of them. I have an old Estes 1:100 Saturn 1B built, but not painted. I have another still in the box. I have a 30th Anniversary #2157 Saturn V kit started. Also have two more#2157s, from more recent re-release. And an old #2091 kit still boxed. I have an Apogee Saturn 1B, and I am currently building a Semroc 1:70 Saturn 1B. I am building the included balsa-cardstock-dowel capsule, but will fly it with an Apogee capsule. I also have a Little Joe and both scales of Estes LJ II kits.

Oh, I’ll get the new Skylab versions, but figure there isn’t a big rush to do so.

Yep, yep, yep, and yep. Got all those older versions except the Apogee. I never have gotten either of the Apogee Saturns. I’ve got the original Centuri and Estes Saturn Vs and 1b’s as well. I have built several of the various issues, but certainly not all. And I never even got the Estes 50th anniversary Saturn V. But, the Skylab Saturn V has never been released before so I figured I better get it. But, two will be my limit on it and the latest Saturn 1b. One of each to build and one as a spare.

But the various versions sure do add up!
