Seriously, you just added a couple more to my build queue...amazingly cool designs, and beautifully built.

Thanks, Dean. I'll try to keep you busy...

Question 5th day Before Christmas.

5th day Before Christmas.
Carefully posted to get the day right or we might end up in one of those CHEESY Hallmark Channel movies .

Key question here, how are Craig and others posting those big, beautiful photos? I only know how to do that little thumbnail thing. Please Help . What file format, file size and other details for the computer Illiterate. My camera is an Kodiak Easyshare Z730.

Here is another design I call the Stinger. This design uses an 18mm motor mount and also falls into the VR class of designs.

Thanks and to ALL a Merry Christmas.

Y'know, designing new rockets in RockSim is pretty cool, but seeing them actually *built* is An Entirely Different Kind of Cool.

You've got another winner here, Craig!

Cheers,

Here's one to think about, Jay...

Photobucket.com

It's a free upload site for about 1 GB of images, and 10 GB of bandwidth per month. You just upload your image to your photobucket account, copy the url it gives you as an image link into the body of the message, and the forum software pulls it up for you.

Yep. It's a great site. However, they have a bug. You have to logout every time you login to add photos or people will be able to surf through all of your pictures.

Thanks for the heads-up, Tim!

Not that I have anything up there I wouldn't want anyone to see, but that's really a bad bug for such a site. Do you know of any other sites that may be better, and are still free?

I don't know if any of the other sites are any better. I really like Photobucket so I just make sure I log out when I'm done.

Here is the way the bug works. Just copy and paste the link from the photo, then delete the photo name.

Your posted photo link:

Talking 4th day Before Christmas.

4th day Before Christmas.

Thanks for all the Photobucket info guys, I will have to try it when I find the time, JP

Here is a design I am calling the Red Raider. It uses a 13mm motor mount and fits into the School Yard Sounder class of designs. With this design I decided to stack up the three pods on each wing and have the wings notch around the pods. Still trying to new ideas which sometimes work and sometimes not.

Enjoy and to ALL a Merry Christmas.

Exclamation New Plan -- Tau Pleiades

Borrowing from the Antares, the Andromeda, and other TAU designs, Tau Pleiades is a simplified build but retains an open-frame fin appearance and modest flight performance. The ring fins are high-drag items, so this design manages to stay within the VR class of models.

Length: 23.95"
Diameter: 1.04" (BC-760), 1.64" (ST-16 ringtail)
Fin Span: 5.26"
Weight: 1.04 oz

B6-2......243'......Dv 15 FPS
B4-2......250'......Dv 13 FPS
C6-3......450'......Dv 15 FPS

All motors reach flight velocity on a standard launch rod.

Enjoy!
