Anything else announced at iHobby that hadn't been announced at NARAM?

I would say other then the Nike Smoke and what's currently on the coming soon page on the Estes web site everything else was shown at NARAM this year. There was also a new foam parasite glider that rides along a ETX model shown at the shown; which help me take second place in a local regional a couple weeks ago but that's about it so far. But with that being said there are a bunch more rockets planed for 2012. You'll simply have to wait until the next trade show or maybe NARCON before they are reveled.

Bob was always one of my favorites on RMR. Don't see much posted from him now.

John,

Would you be able to post any sales sheets/brochures/press releases given out at the iHobby Show?

Specifically, any Pro Series II literature?

Thanks.

Sorry but I don't have any of this information. The Estes web site has the first four Pro Series models listed on on the coming soon page. It gives specs and pricing for each model.

Can you answer this? Was there any printed information handed out at iHobby concerning the Pro Series II line of kits? Ask Mike if you're not sure.

There were NO hand outs given to the public. Everything you need to know about the first four kits are up on the website. The type of motors being offered have already been mentioned and I'm sure everyone here is smart enough to get the motor information if they need it. The Nike Smoke is three inches in diameter with two piece plastic fins that are through the wall. The fins have the diamond airfoil shape, containing internal stiffeners which makes them very rigid. The nose cone is blow molded plastic. The model is right around 41.5" long. All Pro Series models come with a 24" nylon chute and the new high heat plastic motor retainer system. The motor retainers will be offered separately , two to a package at around 9 bucks retail. We will also have a new larger size package of recovery wadding that contains three times the amount of wadding compared to our standard package at only twice the retail price of the original. We will also have new igniter that will come with each motor and sold separately as well. Not sure what else there is to say.

When Estes has sell sheets they give those to dealers and distributors.

Cool to hear the fins are actually fully scale and plastic. A bit surprising, but helpful for ease of assembly while staying true to scale. Great to hear it is 3". I suspect you have a launch lug standoff strategy.

Are the parachutes available separately as well?

Yes, there are two molded plastic launch lugs included that will clear the larger nose cone diameter.
