Default Something different at HotRod Rockets. And free stuff!

Now for something different at HotRod Rockets. And free stuff! But you’ll have to read.

Time for a change, change is good, sometimes all I have in my pockets is... change.

Random Reasons for changes: (sort of a stream of consciousness, caffeine fueled rampage)

-I just have not had the time to do much rocketry -wise lately (like a year and a half).

-Other things have wrapped up much of my time. Not as much time to run a business, pack plastic bags with parts, print off instructions ship boxes bla bla bla. ( I know quit wining).

-Building rockets is FUN. Designing Kits is FUN. I want to have Fun!
It needs to stay fun.

-The Economy, well, it stinks. This certainly affects any hobby related business. No disposable income equals no extra hobby cash. So how do I work around this and get people launching rockets?

-Rocketry has to be accessible, (read cheap) so more people can get hooked.

So what the hell.... I'll make it closer to FREE! At least all my designs and plans and instruction and such.

Yes you read that right, free. No that's not a business model, it's a FUN model. Or is that modeling fun?

So here's the deal. Everything on the HotRod Rockets site will go Free. Now this change-over to total rocket freedom may go slowly, as I have the time. I also hope to add to the site some pages with tips, tricks and building ideas also.

As a bonus (to me) I will be able to add the big pile of designs I have not been able to bring to kit form yet.
Of note: Nothing on the HotRod Rockets site will be offered unless it is field tested, just like any HotRod product of the past.

Another bonus is all the parts vendors might get more orders.

Now for the Free Stuff part.

First design to go free is the Habenero. A mini motor kit (13mm). http://hotrodrocketshop.com/HABfiles2013.html

Now, I have in my HotRod basement workshop of Dooom..... lots of kits lying around. Lots of parts in boxes, ect.

So For YE Olde Rocketry Forum Giveaway Number 1.
Random Rocket Kit of My choice.
First six Addresses in my Ye-Olde Forum “In Box” get a random kit shipped to you free.

Please build -em and launch them.
Don't double up on HotRod giveaways from other forums please.

More to come as I get around to it. Now Get building!

Happy Rocketing!

Nice and Thanks!

CMASS folks wondered what happened to you. I won your rocket of the month contest in 4/11 with my MIG-25 FoxBat rocket and you disappeared. Thank you for my prize.
