It's probably not the right time to agitate for Semroc to add new kits.

Personally I would love it but as several have noted above, filling Carl's shoes is a steep challenge and expanding the product line may not be feasible just now.

In some ways maybe we all should be storming Semroc with orders right now but there is only so much a limited number of human hands can do in a given period of time and that might well just make things worse.

I am really pulling for Bruce and Sheryl to be able to keep things going. I really hope things can work out so the idea Carl had which has provided enjoyment to so many people can keep on going strong into the future.

Default Saturn 1B

I must have clicked the Inactive button by mistake. It is active now and we are in the process of cutting the parts for it. It will be a while before we can rekit it since so many parts ( rings, fins, tubes, chutes, wraps) have to be cut.

They are very busy at Semroc.
They supply a lot of the cottage rocket kit businesses with parts, too. They are just about the only ones to do so on such a scale. An incredible and awesome operation, they have.

In large part, because of Semroc (Carl, Sheryl and Bruce), we are all able to benefit from the resurgence of model rocketry from a bunch of rocket kitters.

I wish I lived close so I could lend them a hand!

That's fantastic news!

Best news I've heard in a while. Way to go.

I continue to be amazed by Semroc. Every kit I get from them is absolute GOLD! And they have the best instructions I have ever used for model rockets.

<related digression>
I write work instructions for a living - at Lockheed. We were going through some rough times with the P-3 wings we were building. I was in a meeting to discuss how to improve the work instructions for the jobs, and I presented the big boss with the instruction booklet for the Semroc Saturn IB. He chuckled, then looked it over, then asked "Can you do this?"

Our systems won't let me do work instructions quite as nice as Semroc's, but I sure tried.

I agree with you on the Semroc kits and instructions. They probably should be the industry standard.

Now if I want to be entertained while I build, you just can't beat a Dr. Zooch kit. IMHO
