I guess this somewhat proves that just any ol body CAN be an astronaut when they grow up! This is just WAY too "trailer parkish" (nothing against those who live in trailer parks... just sayin ) and surreal to fit into the view of the world that I am so desperately clinging to and wish to foster in my son. It will now be with GREAT reserve that I instill any notions within him that the astronauts are anything truly greater than the average... but I'm still going to get us a copy of The Right Stuff from Netflix pretty soon.

Same goes for sports figures... Finding public figures that we can look up to is getting harder to do all the time...

Yes... yes it is. The difference that's SO dissapointing though is that sports figures are usually just gifted with genetic athletic ability... actors gifted with looks... but astronauts... THEY are supposed to have really put their noodles to work to get where they are. They are supposed to have gone through the most rigourous screening and training... some of the most truly elite positions on Earth!

Maybe the Govt did some top secret mind scrambling experiments on what was once a fine specimen! Perhaps if only she would have worn her tin foil hat none of this would have ever happened...

While I agree that something must have went very wrong with her, I still cannot get over the fact that the DONKEYS in the Prosecutor's office in Orlando have charged a person armed with a BB Gun and Pepper Spray with "attempted...phooey" murder....this is just as we are all too often seeing with DA's across the country....charge someone with a sensationalistic and unrealistic crime for the actions someone supposedly (NOBODY is guilty according to the US Constitution until CONVICTED by a court; therefore I think individuals should face absolutely ZERO consequences in ALL aspects of their life prior to that conviction or acquittal) did.

LOL - At this point in time I wouldn't take any potential reasons for her behavior off the table, so I would have to say including.

Default Tabloids

Thought you might want to take a look at how the NYC tabloids played it today. Check out the "Dark Side of the Loon" headline.

If I had to guess, I would not bet on home improvement with the mallet, but I cannot say for sure what SHE planned, only SHE can.
Interestingly, the mallet was not on her PERSON when the incident occurred, it was in the car, which could have been coincidentally.
I am a FIRM believer in NOT trying ANYONE in the court of public opinion; quite frankly I think there should be a law against revealing ANYTHING about any arrests until the trial (if it happens) is over; that way those innocent do not have their reputations ruined by zealotous prosecutors, such as those in the recent Duke Lacrosse case....in cases such as the Duke case I think the prosecutor should personally have to forfeit their entire way of life to the point of bankruptcy to pay back those that were harmed by that idiot hell-bent-to-convict-anyone politically motivated prosecutor.
