Looks like I will have some time to build and launch rockets. The state of Pennsylvania shut down my place of employment a Ductile Iron Foundry owned by Ridge Tool (Emerson). Our partner Machine Shop too. Dang.

I'm shut down too. Got a to-do list a mile long that I didn't expect to do until the summer, but maybe I can get some of it done the next few weeks. If I get half way caught up with the stuff that must get done, I may even do a little sanding.

Sorry guys! Let’s hope this is short-lived.

We want to help local places, so we drove to a favorite place to get takeout. I felt like today’s noon-time traffic was just plain eerie. Has not been this light since we moved here in 1983. We called them when we drove up. The manager brought the bag to our car. He was wearing gloves. I “think” that made me feel better ...

Tim,
I’m worried you may have a fever ... you may actually do some sanding?

My company (I work retail) will stay open but at reduced hours.

That may change as the Governor of California just announced he wants everyone to stay home.

My thought is that the states are going to be like dominoes. When one reacts, it starts a chain. I don't see my building being open next week, but that is what I thought last weekend. Not sure how to handle the possibility.

As an engineer, I have been under "work remotely" protocol since last Friday.
Assembly plants have been running, but are shutting down.

They want to reduce the number of people in our building, so I will start working from home next week. I will still be able to come in occasionally to access printers and hard copy files.

Still free to leave the house in Oregon. I have a big dog to walk, so even if there's a Shelter In Place order, I have an excuse to walk a bit!

I started THREE builds, to distract myself. I'll post pictures later.

(And . . . take care of yourselves. I have family on Long Island and north of NYC. The hospitals are packed, and short on supplies. My cousin's daughter is a nurse; she's having to use the same mask for a twelve hour shift, and barely has time to drink water.)

I'm a consulting engineer in the nuke power biz. The little company I work for has almost everyone working from home offices. Out of 56 employees, only 5 are in the main office on Montrose CO. The rest of us have always worked remotely.

Take that Kung Flu. The chickens at the WHO should have named it CCPvid-1 for Chinese Communist Party Viral disease. It sickens me to see our media folks following the Chicom party line over the name of the disease and assisting them in trying to hide the origin of it.

Agree 100% with Joe's statement above.
Blame SHOULD be placed where it is due. On CHINA for failing to contain it.
