Hi Dan, never met you but glad whatever trials in life you've had are behind you.
Great group of vintage finds!!!!

A Centuri site would be a great idea!

Steve

I recently happened upon Both Centuri Little Joe Kits, together in a lot. Where and how much isn’t important, but this was a fantastic find. Just wanted to share. I’ve picked up Many vintage Estes kits over the past 4-6 months. Back full swing. I’m hoping for your support and shares. I’m hoping these pics post. Enjoy. Dan.
Hey welcome back Dan, good to have you back! I just recently returned to YORF myself. Always enjoyed your vintage rocket posts. 1/45 Scale Centuri Little Joe II was the first big rocket I ever built in Centuri. Had to mow some lawns to fund that project back in the day. Unfortunately my modeling skills at the time were far from building a very nice scale model back then but with the pre applied wraps it did come out decent and looked great in flight. That is a "fantastic" find you have there. Very cool

Thanks, Steve. My first Centuri Kit was the mighty Hustler ! I wasted no time. I have 2 kits left from my childhood, Alpha & Constellation. Plus the same still in kit form signed by Vern. Both are in pics from my list of the Scrambler /engine mounts post earlier today. Thanks for writing, stay in touch ! Let me know if I can help. Dan.

The LJII wrap looks great! Most that I've seen have been wrinkled or worse.

Agree ! These are some of the best I’ve ever seen. I truly got lucky here, or blessed.
Perhaps both. Thanks,,, Dan.

Dan,

As a matter of fact, I do still have that Wizard! I put eyes on it a week or so ago and thought of you :-). I haven't picked up any collectible kits since we talked believe it or not. I really fell out of my hobbies while raising children. I also picked up some new hobbies. Some that have fallen by the wayside already... I've currently got a basement full of late 70's and 80's arcade and pinball machines. If you think space is an issue with collecting model rockets, bring home a few arcade machines...

Asteroids
Asteroids Deluxe
Centipede
Dig Dug
Galaga
Millipede
Mouse Trap
Ms. Pac Man
Pac Man
Stargate
Tempest

Stan

Nice to see you back on YORF, Stan!

You're just missing Pole Position.

I've done the same as you. Half of my basement is filled with my rocket collection, but now the other half is filled with my Coleman Lantern and Stove collection! No more basement.
