The decals give that right touch - very nice!

My Estes MAV is finished. I just got home from a short trip, and sprayed the model with a matte clear coat. I also decided to paint the corrugations on the capsule yellow.

Lee, I gotta tell ya, I think that is just excellent! You made the right move by painting the corrugations yellow, too.

Plus one to what Joe said. I wasn't sure about that yellow at first, (yellow is kinda like that) but now that it's done it really makes it unique. Looks great!

I think I just might do that. I’m not having any issues getting to a $100. I need an LEO Space Train, a Low Boom SST, a Mars Longship, a Doorknob, a Tazz, a Boosted Bertha, ... oh, and some C5-3s.

Final product turned out great! I wasn't a fan of the yellow at first but the upper band in yellow plus decals and matte finish pulled it all together. I like it!!
