Oh, wow! You said it!! That looks like it got to at least 1k...maybe more. Now THAT was something! I was not sure it was even going to clear the smoke cloud on the ground at first, but boy, it sure did.

The "pill-shaped" (capsule-shaped, with wings) plastic-bodied helicopter fireworks are also called--among other names--"Two-Stage Silver Jets." That's odd that his early ones didn't have "Place on ground, THIS side facing up" labels, as the first one I ever saw (my father bought it at a highway-side fireworks store on the outskirts of Ducktown, Tennessee in 1975; we also got plenty of other firework pieces on that occasion), labeled "Two-Stage Silver Jets," had the 'this side up' notice, and:

In 1983 or 1984, I disrupted play at one of the football home games at the Hiawassee, Georgia high school I attended. I set if off in the darkness below the level of the little plateau where the football field was, and when it rose into view, the game announcer got tongue-tied, and I could also hear shouts of "Look!", "What's that?!", and so forth from spectators in the concrete stands on the hillside above the field. :-)
