Default I don't know?

Anybody have any idea what this could be? The K E as seen is the only marking on the tube
both end caps are sealed and unmarked. I thought it was empty but you can feel something
small moving when you shake the tube. I have searched everything as far back as I can find
with no reference to this red tube with K E marked on it.

Never heard of it either.
You are going to have to do as product intended. Open the tube

I do know that some of the very first Astron Scout kits did ship in a tube.

The original Scout kit was mailed in those kinds of tubes. Could it be a kit in there?

That is what I was going to suggest.

Leave it sealed until you get more info. If it IS a Scout kit, it will be worth more sealed. Go to vintageestesrockets.com and contact the guy who maintains that site (Eric Higgins). I know he owned at least one of the Scout kits.

That is definitely a pipe bomb. Please handle it carefully and ship it to me for safe disposal.
