Last up for the morning was my nephew's Photon Probe on C6 power.
I gave him this kit for Christmas a few years back with the stipulation that he had to build it himself.
He was 9 or 10 years old at the time and did a super job on the construction.
Since then it's logged plenty of flights, and today's was as good as they get.

I'll be fling a MESS report and sending info to Karl Baumann at Aerotech later today.

No visible cracks on the case from my model. I'll fill out a report as well.

, if you have to ask what is "NORMAL" , you probably aren't !

Failure may not be an OPTION, but it is ALWAYS a POSSIBILITY.
ALL systems are GO for MAYHEM, CHAOS, and HAVOC !

My scratchbuilt 1291 Maxi Alpha flies great on F20's and F23's. The F44 should work well in your models.

It's a good trend, but should be kept to a minimum.
Tends to be rough on the rockets.

I like to see PMC POWR-PRANGGS best.
Those feature Trash Bag-'N-Broom "Recovery"...

What a delightful thread! I love the photos and the descriptions of each flight!

As for landing on asphalt--I can relate. MY personal nemesis is water. If I launched a model rocket on a 1/2A at the geographical center of the Sahara it would STILL somehow land in water.

To this day my saddest water landing was an Astrocam 110 with 15+ exposures on the roll. Swallowed by a retention pond in Naperville, IL.

This old seadog cried like a little girl.

No. It was buoyant for a little while but there was almost no wind to make it drift toward shore and it eventually sank. If it had had any balsa parts it might have stayed afloat long enough to drift until I could reach it.

The holiday looked promising for a shakedown run of my newer models.

Launching was tedious as I had to keep readjusting the pad to compensate.
I brought a truckload of models but managed to fly just nine.
Eager to try Aerotech's new 18 & 24mm composites, I used several with mixed results.
Recovery was easy. I managed to drop most of them within 30ft of the pad.
Only the Mars Project strayed towards the road, and my Renegade found a nice, open spot in the cornfield.
Thanks to my wife and brother-in-law for the photos.

Here's the lineup :

Star Wars Proton Torpedo
Nova Payloader
Enerjet 1330
Centuri Mars Project
Der Bigger Red Max
Maxi Alpha 3
Der Drei Maxxx
Renegade
Photon Probe

Hey, looiks like you used Solar Sailer truss decals for the nose of Drei Maxx!! How'd you end up with *that* many sets to do that? Print your own somehow?
