I took a chance and bought the Estes Optima. Assuming this is the BT-80 sized kit from many moons ago, and not built, then the price is really low. I will see what I get.

I am concerned. If these are “one of a kind”, then why are the kits I bought still listed?

Oo! Oo! Maybe you’ll get a Saturn V floor lamp!

I put an order in I guess I will see what I get (if anything).
When I can go back to the website under a different user and put the same items in my cart I just bought I kind of wonder.

I just got a phone call from Belleville. He said they are vintage kits that someone brought in and sold to him. He said they were up for 2 weeks and all of a sudden he got flooded with orders and didn't get the sold ones taken down in time. He said I was the 4th person to buy the Space Shuttle. He was going to spend the rest of the day calling people and apologizing.

He said I would get the Sprite and Honest John and he would reduce the shipping accordingly.

He asked me if I thought the prices were OK because he said he didn't have a clue as to how to price them.

I told him the Space Shuttle goes for about $150, The Honest John for about $100. (in good unopened condition)

I asked him what color the Sprite hang tag was and he said he didn't remember. I told him I've seen the yellow ones go for about $80 and I saw a blue one go for over $300 once.

I think I made his day worse.

To ESTES: Read this thread. Rerelease some of these kits. There's a market for them.

Yes, I think there are many kits they can reissue. If these wind up in my mailbox, I will be thrilled.

Sorry you did not get the Space Shuttle Kit. It would have been a great deal. “I think I made his day worse.” 😂 Yes possibly!

I really wish someone would produce a Space Shuttle kit. Hard to do I guess.
