Default Why did eBay remove the "Rocketry" search category under "Models and Kits"?

For some strange reason, looks like eBay removed the "Rocketry" search category yesterday under "Models and Kits" and defaulted model rockets to the search category, "Spacecraft". Not sure why. Anybody know?

Kind regards,
Jeff Jenkins

I had trouble with that too. Hopefully it's a glitch that they will correct.

I would not count on it. eBay is constantly "improving" their site. This includes consolidating categories for efficiency and a "better customer experience".

There ought to be a rule against "improving" their site.

Many companies should stop "improving" their products...

Default for legal and liability issues--

ebay ***should*** do away completely with rocketry-related items, if that's what it takes to get motors off their listings

They are currently exposed to criminal prosecution for "enabling" unqualified persons to illegally sell/ship rocket motors. Their website is riddled with such listings. If there is one more shipping mishap causing any more deaths, it could trigger very serious limitations on our hobby.

I almost always find when companies say "new and improved" it turns into CRAP.

Just because something CAN be changed does NOT mean it SHOULD.

In most industries far too many are interested in perpetual change instead of asking "WHY are we doing this ?"

Far too FEW adopt the concept of "Not fixing what isn't broken"

Why not go to an ebay forum to ask and give feedback? All you are getting here is biased speculation and ebay bashing.

I am not a "shipping cop" and have no interest in being one.
How products are shipped to me by sellers is not my responsibility.

Actually, it is not speculation. I have been selling on eBay for more than 20 years and they are constantly consolidating categories. If you check their categories, you will find that under models and kits, then spacecraft, you will have a list of subcategories that you can include, such as rocket, space shuttle, and others.

However, I do take some enjoyment in poking at eBay because their constant, sometimes daily changes often cause things to not function properly, not to mention the frustration of having to learn something all over again and again and again...
