I have pulled a few more pieces off the build plate. They will need a little clean-up and primer to fill some pinholes. The detail is outstanding. The pieces really pop.

First, my hat is off to Scott for producing a great set of files.
The detail is just nice to look at. It's a thin print so it should slide onto the tube.
I hadn't planned on building a 1/70 scale Saturn 1b but now I have started and look forward to seeing how it turns out.

Was that printed with FDM or SLA? Looks too good for FDM.

Hi Bill, I have only one printer a Creality CR-10 Mini. These pieces were printed using PLA.
I think a lot of good prints are due to who does the files for the pieces.
I have printed a few files done by Scott and his work is always outstanding.

Finish printing the last pieces for the 1/70 Saturn 1b.
The Fins and Apollo capsule came out real good. Once again the detail stands out on the capsule.
All the parts are detailed to the max.

The nice thing about having the ability to print these parts is if and when the Saturn should crash you have the ability to repair or build another one.
Well, now that I have the parts I will start my build.

Once again Thanks Scott.

Great job, thank you for sharing.
Did you have to resize any of the parts for a good fit?

Hi Flash, everything I printed fits good and slipped over the body tubes just fine.
The only part that might need some work on is the transition and the work will be to
make the inside lip bigger to fit snugger on the tube but that can be done with pieces of paper tubing. The detail is so well that Scott is right this 1/70 Saturn 1b will look more like an Apogee rocket rather than the SEMROC version.

I was thinking it would be nice to have the files for the fins, nose cone, and transition to be able to build 1/70 scale SA-5,6,7 to go along with the 1b, but I always want more, and I should be happy for what I have.

Take care.
