Was that the standard back then? I just assumed 2.75".

There may not have been a standard. Looking at that 1964 catalog, I didn't see the pages that list tubes and nose cones. But there is a "Designers Assortment" that lists TB-714 4-inch "booster tubes." The 1965 catalog "Apollo Custom Parts Special" lists ST-71B "booster tubes." Those were 3.75-inches. If you get the proportions correct, I'd say your "sport scale" clone would be about right.

Here are pertinent pages from the 1964 catalog that appear to be missing in the Ninfinger catalog.
Looks like there are ST-7 tubes in the 2.25", 3", and 3.5" sizes. I think the nosecone is probably going to be the BC-74 (top of page 30). Also, your 'outer' tube coupler is probably the CT-7B listed on the bottom of page 31. These would be before they were 'ported' with two holes 180 degrees apart and called the 'Passport' stage coupler which was introduced around 70-71 timeframe. Earl

I think this was a one year only kit, and from 1964 at that. Not a big surprise that it's not represented out there. I don't know of anyone who has even seen a kit. (That's a big part of the attraction.)

The picture of the Aero-Dyne in the 1964 catalog looks like there is one of those external "passport" staging couplers on at least the top of the second stage. Looking at instructions for the Micro-Probe and Arrow 300, the standard construction for a booster seems to be:
1. An airframe tube,If the Aero-Dyne had the same construction as other Centuri staged model rockets (witht eh exception of the Black Widow) this arrangement suggests a booster length of 3-inches. Interesting project.

Was the T-Bird the successor to the Aero-Dyne?

So, three fin or four?
Or should I say, nine or twelve? I'm thinking four, just because of the rockets that came later.

Looks like 3 (9) to me. I'm going by the spacing between the fins on the BT.
And because you said 4.
