Selling down all the retail stock will take some time. Then when the retailers run out the premium price resellers will take over. After that the EBay gougers step in followed by Estes doing a bring back…it’s the circle of life!

27 discontinued kits and only 4 new kits with no new high-thrust 18mm/24mm engines seems more like a GYP-alog.

You still have some choices if you want a BT-80 size V-2 .

This is much more scale than the Estes version.
https://www.apogeerockets.com/Rocke...-A4-Scale-Model

The guy who designed the kit also has a bunch of build videos on YouTube.

There is also this "garage" V-2 kit.
https://sngaero.wordpress.com/products-page-2/

Estes should really re-engineer their V-2 kit to get it more to scale.

New for the 2023 catalog:
2161 SpaceX Falcon 9
9722 So Long
9723 Black Brant XII
9724 Great Goblin

In total 27 rockets discontinued, 4 new rockets. And the catalog is 8 pages smaller.
No new motors, one new accessory, no new Designer's Series (probably over now that Bill Stine has retired).
Thanks for putting this list together.

I like all of the new ones, will probably buy multiples of "So Long". Not a whole lot to miss about the discontnued kits, except the BT-55 Goblin, which don't tend to last more than a couple flying seasons - I may have to stock up on those. Don't need any more Citation Patriiots after the HL blowout. Does anything else still in the catalog use the PNC-55AO NC?

The "Low Boom SST" was a nice kit, and a very challenging build. That said, I wouldn't want to built another.

Interesting the Leo Space Train still makes an appearance on page 77.

The Star Orbiter still has the wrong fins shown!
