It sure does look like a PNC-50BB nose cone and aft "nozzle" to me.

I'd love to see someone whip out a build that looks just like what's shown and fly it by this weekend. Wouldn't be difficult if you had the time to just do it. If I was retired and going to ROCStock, I'd debut it there. But I am slammed with work.

This process reminds me (fondly) of what much of what I have been up to in model rocketry lately: trying to work out a model's dimensions, features, and parts based on a less than perfect (ancient catalog) picture and my concept of parts available at the time.

The difference is that the unknowns are only temporarily so and that I am not at this time much of a fan of the model rocket company.

I got mine today, looking at it I wonder if they found a stash of the balsa nosecones. I think it was used on the reissue Satellite Interceptor. I like the look a lot.

Nice to see rounded leading edges on the main fins in the face card rendering.

Balsa nose cone....that might be the constraint for the "limited edition".

SI seems to use the PNC-50BB nose and nozzle:

Unless there's a newer version that reverted to wood.

People are starting to get their kits. Would be interesting to see if the NC p/n callout in the instructions is the same 070254.

And it is 70254:

That certainly sounds plausible!

My two arrived today. I'll be opening one up later this evening.
