When I worked for North Coast '93-'94 after retiring from the Air Force, they used ACE nose cones.
Was curious about the date on the instructions, Dale. I don't remember if I kitted out the any of these. Chas

No date on the instructions but it did have a coupon for the missing parachute, if that helps. No date on the Quasar NG that I’m building next (but it does have a parachute). Space shuttle is in the queue (after I repair my Cosmodrome Rocketry Vostok).

Date should be the numbers below "Catalog # K-97". Signified the latest revision. I tried to enlarge it, but it became unreadable.

Very unique design.
I really like it.

Thanks for providing the instruction date. Dale. I arrived 2 July 93, the day after I retired from the Air Force after 21+ years. Was only offered Minot AFB, ND.
Matt Steele or Dan Kafun may have prepared that kit, but there is a chance that I did. I most likely shipped it to you or the dealer that you purchased it from. Since this was all pre-laser cutting, I made fins and centering rings for the kits. I wore a pair of bell-bottom jeans to keep the sawduct out of my shoes (mostly). Good times. Chas

Matt should rekit this design. I think he'd sell a bunch of em!
Quite unique, much like the Black Hole Betty. Allen |

Yes, there are a number of designs that Matt could probably move in great quantities if they were re-offered, but he has largely steered away from those. Not sure why, but maybe there is some copyright/design ownership stipulations between Matt and Chris Pearson (or other past principals back during the NCR days) that prevents easy re-issue of past kits. Earl
