If you don't need any new Quest kits yourself, stock up on gifts for relatives, scout leaders, teachers, etc!

Glad I reserved and bought one (prepaid) as soon as the announcement was made earlier this year......

My sentiments exactly.

In 25 years, when the 75th anniversary rolls around, -I- will be an Old Rocketeer!

Are the D5's included in the sale?

The website says everything in the "entire website" is for sale.

[edit] although some things are marked that the price already reflects the 40 percent discount.

I just tried to order and was surprised and disappointed. I built up an order and found that I had to pay $35 for hazmat shipping on B and C motors (I've never had to do that before) so I dropped the motors from my order and it still wanted Hazmat shipping. I can only guess that it is insisting on hazmat because a launch set includes motors. Seriously, hazmat shipping for Micromaxx motors? I'd love to order stuff from this sale, but the shipping is doubling (or almost doubling) the cost of my order. That pretty much erases the 40 percent I was saving.

I'm bummed. I REALLY wanted to try out the new super C motors.

I don't recall paying Hazmat fees from other vendors.

Is that right? Can't Quest ship LPR motors USPS without Hazmat?

I just ordered (mostly motors) and yes they can. There are THREE shipping options. UPS, USPS, and UPS+HAZMAT. If you order motors, you have to pick either the second or third option. For me, USPS was about half the price of UPS. Note that USPS ground orders may not arrive in time for holiday gift giving. You might try splitting your order so that motors and starter sets are shipped USPS and kits UPS.

Doesn't matter if it's one MicroMaxx motor or a hundred D12s or F21s. If ANYTHING in the box is HAZMAT the whole shipment is HAZMAT.

Did you know that UPS HAZMAT fee is to offset the fines they get for improper shipping. The reason that you and I can't ship UPS Hazmat is that if we screw up the packaging, THEY get the fines. So each of us gets charged the Hazmat fee to make up for the folks that screw it up. And the DOT regs are so screwed up that even someone in the business can't always be sure they got it right.

Once we get the BATFE out of the way (sigh) we really need to look into shipping regulations again. This fee that started out as a few bucks has gone up faster than our rockets. All due to government regulation.
