Interesting factoid... shopliftonline.com seems not to exist. There is no A (host address) nor MX (mail exchanger) for that name, so the given email address is null and void. The name servers given as authoritative for that name have never heard of it.

More curious... it has existed, recently enough that Google remembers it.

Apparently, someone bought the Black Vulcan for $19.99. Here's the kicker... that photo he used for the face card? It's MINE. I had to blow it up to be sure, but there's a ding along the back edge of the dorsal fin which is flight damage on mine. His picture shows the same damage. Also, you can see roughness where he removed the integral launch lug mine has from the picture.

Here's my picture, for comparison:

Interesting. On the Morerockets site he has a Conditions Of Use page where he lists a ton of legal disclaimers and restrictions. He cites "copywrite" and "trade mark" law as well, specifically referencing images, content, graphics, etc., etc., as his property. Here's a link: http://www.morerockets.com/conditions.php

Ordinarily I don't have a problem with someone doing the mom and pop thing, but you should be taking your own pictures and using your own artwork if you are doing so, and to take without permission from others while quoting the law at the same time strikes me as wrong if proven to be true.

Has anyone contacted this guy directly? He's right up in Sanbornville New Hampshire off of route 16, not at all far from where my place is. And NO it's not me! Iíve never been to Sanbornville.

His website contains quite a few spelling errors too...

I sent this:

I take offense at your recent "Black Vulcan" sale on eBay. You have used my redesign, and worse, my photograph, with neither my permission nor any credit to me. The font I used, which I credit on my own page (you know, where you got my wrap graphic and my photograph) is Creative Commons licensed... you should credit the designers, or at least the source. Nor do you credit Centuri, the original designer of the Vulcan; their copyrights (not "copywrites", you really need to fix your spelling) are now property Hobbico by way of Estes.

I've posted about this on TRF and YORF, and I know that at least one other person has noted your use of his photographs. You need to address this, publicly, and soon.

... via his web form, since I don't have a direct address for him. Let's see what happens.
