BMS parts are dimensionally correct, but the as-delivered finish is sanded MUCH finer on the parts from Semroc.
This makes for less coats of Balsa Fillercoat/Sanding Sealer and less sanding of final product.
Prices are generally about the same too.

Yes, there is such a thing as NORMAL
, if you have to ask what is "NORMAL" , you probably aren't !

Failure may not be an OPTION, but it is ALWAYS a POSSIBILITY.
ALL systems are GO for MAYHEM, CHAOS, and HAVOC !

Thats what im thinking as well. When a #k21 does come around on ebay it gets pretty expensive. by the way didnt estes do a gemini titan with booster rockets as well? Like the later models nasa used to launch the Voyagers? It seems like I remember seeing one for sale on ebay and it got VERY expensive.

Yes, but it was a smaller scale.

Semroc does make the ring set as well as most other parts,

http://www.semroc.com/Store/scripts...Parts.asp?ID=23

I'm planning to clone one of these myself, I just need to find the .020 and .040 clear plastic (and the 20+ other rockets in the pipeline)

Yes, as Bill indicated, they did a Titan IIIE. And I think they also did a SPEV version of that one, but danged if I can remember what it's called.

Not for the Gemini Capsule. I gotta charge the battery in my camera (gotta find the charger first), and then I'll take a side-by-side pic of all three (Estes, Semroc, and BMS) and you'll see that the Semroc cone is much closer to the Estes (and the Estes is much closer to the actual shape of Gemini).

Right, they had a Titan III E satellite launcher. Not a Gemini-Titan.

They also did a smaller scale Gemini-Titan, based on BT-60 instead of BT-70, that used a fully molded Gemini command and service module (K-21's nose cone was just the command module), and a molded plastic fin unit in clear plastic, that has been used in later models in opaque plastic.

There have been scratch built or kitbashed MOL Titan III vehicles built and posted on various forums too. Maybe you're mixing that up with the Estes Titan IIIE.
